Jean is working as an assessment specialist at Defense Language Institute (DLI). Her research interests are L2 assessment and pragmatics. Her dissertation is about assessing L2 learners’ comprehension of conversational implicature.

Senyung Lee

Senyung is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Division of Internatoinal Studies at Chonnam National University. Her research interests include assessing L2 collocation knowledge, L2 vocabulary learning, and assessing L2 writing. She received the 2020 Jacqueline Ross TOEFL Dissertation Award by Educational Testing Service and was a finalist for the 2020 AAAL Dissertation Award.

Ryan is an Assistant Professor of Japanese at University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is interested in pronunciation instruction and development and language assessment. He has published his works at Language Testing, Language Teaching Research, SSLA, and other major journals.

Yu-Chen is working as an ESL Assessment Coordinator at The Ohio State University. She obtained the ETS TOEFL Small Grants for Doctoral Research in Second or Foreign Language Assessment and was a finalist for the 2018 Jacqueline Ross TOEFL Dissertation Award. She received her PhD degree from LCLE at IU.

Yena Park

Yena is a Senior Assessment Scientist at Duolingo where she works on research and development of the Duolingo English Test. Her research interest includes ITA assessment, L2 listening assessment, and L2 integrated assessment.
Amy Soto

Amy works as a teaching and learning assistant at Birralee International School Trondheim in Norway. She received her MA TESOL and Applied Linguistics degree. She is interested in low education and low literacy second language acquisition, language assessment, L2 literacy, language policy, and psycholinguistics.
Yunwen Su

Yunwen serves as an Assistant Professor and a Director of the Chinese program in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She researches acquisition, pedagogy, and assessment of second language pragmatics in Chinese and English. She has published papers in the Modern Language Journal, Language Learning & Technology, Journal of Pragmatics, Foreign Language Annals, East Asian Pragmatics, and edited volumes.
